Part one... Complete!
The 3rd of March was judgement day for Harry Kightley, in order to compete in Formula Ford this season harry needed to upgrade his Kart Licence to a full race licence, nothing like leaving it to the last minute eh, but to be honest this seems to be a Kightley family tradition, Harry Turned up for his ARDS test and smashed it, got licence, went home, Job done.
Last week was Harry's first test session in his new car, with the main focus being clutch control & gear change, "First half an hour felt like i was going to rip my own head off it's shoulders" Harry admitted, "but by the end of the session you'd have been forgiven for thinking i was driving a tiptronic Ferrari Enzo"
This Friday (25th) Harry travels back to Castle Combe for a seat fitting, the following week we're back at Llandow testing. This time we will focus on Harry’s lap times and car control at high speed said Harry’s team principle Andy.
"We were very pleased with his first outing and things are looking promising".
Harry waves fond Farewell...
Harry Kightley says goodbye to karting (for now). On Sunday the 30th January 2011, Harry signed with Formula Ford outfit WC Motorsport based at Castle Combe, for the 2011 season.

After just missing out on the Junior Formula Ford Scholarship nearly 12 months ago, a disappointed Harry attended testing sessions and open days for various formula ford race teams up and down the country, Harry secured his drive last sunday and is now looking forward to the opening race of the season on the 25th April, closely followed by a televised 2nd round on May 2nd, Harry must now successfully complete his ARDS test to enable him to compete, should anyone wish to support Harry financially or in person in his Rookie single seater season contact Pete for details....
